Product Lineup
Dolphin Coat
Dolphin Coat is a JAS certified softwood-coated formwork plywood manufactured in Japan.
By Using domestic lumber, it ensures that the product is both legal and sustainable.
The effective use of domestic lumber in Dolphin Coat promotes the cycle of harvesting, planting, and growing lumber from forests that have reached their harvesting stage.
Dolphin Coat was used for the foundation and interior walls of Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic facilities, as well for(as) the roof of the panda house at the Ueno Zoo.

100% Plantation-grown Falcata Plywood
We deal in plywood made from 100% falcata plantation trees planted and cultivated in the Lumajang Regency, East Java Province, Indonesia. Falcata is a fast-growing tree that can be grown from seed and harvested in 5 to 7 years.
We actively utilize plantation trees based on the concepts of sustainable reforestation and ecosystem maintenance.

Moiss
By absorbing and exhaling moisture in the air and adsorbing harmful substances and odors, Moiss maintains the atmosphere surrounding people in a more comfortable and safer condition through the power of natural materials.
Because it is made of natural materials, it contains no toxic substances, and the raw materials are also used as a powdered for fertilizer, making it a wall material that can be recycled back to nature and is safe for living.

Large Panel Construction Method
Large wooden panels are products in which sashes, waterproof sheets, and insulation are integrated at the factory in advance for simple installation at the site. This business model was created to industrialize the wood-frame construction method and reform the on-site production work style, while ensuring both high quality and low cost creating “industrialization for everyone”.

Sojitz Building Materials recognizes that global environmental issues such as environmental pollution and the depletion of various resource, are important management issues, and therefore we will make contributions to the preservation of the global environment in all of our corporate activities while striving to achieve harmony with economic rationality.

Lumber Procurement Initiatives
Based on the Sojitz Group Supply Chain CSR Action Guidelines, we established the Lumber Procurement Policy in September 2015 to ensure responsible lumber procurement. In addition, the fiscal 2020 target of 100% traceability was achieved in 2018, two years ahead of schedule, and in February 2021, a quantitative target for 2025 was established.

Certification and Accreditation System Initiatives
1.Forest certification is a system in which third-party organizations certify that forests are managed in a sustainable manner and trace the certification information (source, etc.) of raw materials until the products reach consumers. As a distributor, we have obtained CoC certification from FSC® and PEFC. CoC stands for "Chain of Custody" and means the management of the processing and distribution process.
2.The Clean Wood Act aims to promote the distribution and use of lumber and its products made from trees harvested in compliance with the laws and regulations of Japan or the country of origin.
We have been certified as a legal wood supplier under the industry association certification system.

Sojitz Group Respect for Human Rights
The Sojitz Group supports the International Bill of Human Rights and the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work of the International Labour Organization (ILO). We also promote initiatives to respect human rights in our business operations in accordance with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
